Shanghai Diamond League 2016

The race continues as the players of #DiamondRaceContest in the MoC League have started giving each other a tough time by overtaking with points.. The result from the Shanghai Diamond League is here. R Sigma (Sigma Team) is our league leader with 331 points, while Adriana Seda (Adriana’s Team) moved down one step from last week as league leader to finish runner up with 287 points, then Funmi Fameso (Speedsters) maintained her 3rd position with 283 points.

If you have not joined the League yet, see all the instructions you need to join here. The sooner the better, as the deadline to play on Day 3 for the Rabat Diamond League is Saturday May 14th by 6am Naija time!

R Sigma is leading because she picked THREE athletes who set Meet Records, including her captain, Ivana Spanovic who gave her a whopping 60 points – The other two athletes being (Sandra Pekovic and Hyvin Kiyeng). She also picked two other winners, one 2nd place and two 3rd place finishers – good points across most of her 9 athletes. Guess what, MoC League’s R Sigma is also the 7th Overall in the Fantasy Diamond Race Worldwide.

Adriana Seda dropped to second, after leading in Doha last week because her Team Captain David Rudisha could only afford him 6 points, after finishing fifth in his race. Then she went on to pick THREE other winners, with TWO setting Meet Records, two 2nd and 3rd place finishers and one 4th place finisher.

Funmi Fameso also went in the wrong foot as Adriana by picking Rudisha as Captain, so she only got 6 points. She however chose FOUR winners with TWO setting Meet Records. She then chose two 2nd place finishers, one 3rd place finisher and one no show, therefore earning her 0 points.

On the World’s League tables, Paul Morrison has dropped to 93rd position with his 298 points. The new leader this week is Wamego relays champ who has 344 points. He picked massive two Meet Record holders Sandra Perkovic as captain and Hyvin Kiyeng, two other winners, one 2nd place finisher, three 3rd place and one 6th place finishers.
