You may have heard that Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan ran a World Leading (WL) mark of 12.63s over the weekend, setting a new Personal Best (PB) and also breaking her school’s 100m Hurdles record.

Well, in case you want to see how she attained that, you can watch the video uploaded by her school, University of Texas El Paso (UTEP) on their official Twitter page.

Pending the ratification by International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF), Amusan will be ranked as No. 1 in the world, with USA’s Kori Carter currently in that position with a time of 12.78s.

Do you think Amusan will be a medal prospect, or at least a finalist at the 2017 World Championships?

Athletics coverage was a discovery, having to move away from regularly writing about Football. Although it was initially daunting, but now being an authority in it makes the past effort worthwhile. From travelling on the same international flight with Nigerian athletes, to knowing you could easily interview: World Record holder Tobi Amusan, then Ese Brume, I have cut my teeth in this beat earning the trust of Athletics sources.
