Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is keeping faith with the same starting eleven he has used in the last two 2018 world cup qualifying matches, naming an unchanged team to face Zambia.

There were concerns over who will start in goal for the Super Eagles, after Rohr in press conference on Thursday refused to state if Ikechukwu Ezenwa will be starting the game.

However, the Ifeanyi Ubah FC player is retaining his place in the starting line up, with the other 10 outfield players who started against Cameroon also starting today.

Here is the starting 11 to face the Chipolopolo of Zambia: Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Shehu Abdullahi, Elderson Echiejile, Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong; Wilfred Ndidi, Ogenyi Onazi, John Obi Mikel (captain); Victor Moses, Odion Ighalo, Simon Moses.

Athletics coverage was a discovery, having to move away from regularly writing about Football. Although it was initially daunting, but now being an authority in it makes the past effort worthwhile. From travelling on the same international flight with Nigerian athletes, to knowing you could easily interview: World Record holder Tobi Amusan, then Ese Brume, I have cut my teeth in this beat earning the trust of Athletics sources.
