Nigeria  won only four medals – two GOLD, one Silver and a Bronze medal in Track and Field at the 2010 edition of the Commonwealth Games held in Delhi, India.

Nevertheless, history was made as Ajoke Odumosu became the first African woman to win the 400m Hurdles at the Commonwealth Games, a feat she achieved with her time of 55.28s. Scotland’s Eilidh Child won Silver in 55.62s as Jamaican Nickiesha Wilson took Bronze in 56.06s.

Igun inspired a 1-2 for the country at the event as George Ogan claimed Silver with 16.08m.

Oke won GOLD in Delhi with a leap of 17.16m to finish ahead of Cameroon’s Hugo Mamba (17.14m) and  Renjith Maheswary of India (17.07m).
