Cameroon’s Joel Embiid, yet again put up an impressive display for Philadelphia 76ers, inspiring his team to a 107-98 victory over Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
Embiid led the way all round, making a double-double for the Sixers with a game-high 30pts and 11reb (10 of those were defensive rebounds), even leading in the Steals for both sides (3) to sum up a good outing.
Although Sixers closed out the 1st quarter by 6pts, Wizards tied in the 2nd quarter at 35-35, but Sixers went on a 9-0 run and looked like they were going to pull away. Wizards somehow turned it around and even led at some point in the 3rd quarter.
Only for Embiid to take full control of the game in the 4th quarter, particularly in the last 3mins of the match, running riot with back to back points. He outscored every player in this quarter, making 12pts to add to the 18pts he made in the first three quarters.
This is the third consecutive game Embiid will be topscoring for 76ers since the NBA restarted last weekend. He made 41pts in their first match against Indiana Pacers, then 27pts against San Antonio Spurs, and tonight 30pts against Wizards.
