English Premier League club Southampton have completed the signing of Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu from Spanish club Real Valladolid for a reported fee of £10.9million.
The center back has penned a four-year deal for the club based on the south coast of England after the Premier League side triggered his buy-out clause.
However, due to the coronavirus travel restrictions in place with Spain, he will have to spend 14 days in quarantine upon arrival in the United Kingdom, with the English club having to do a medical for the youngster after then.
Salisu has been a pivotal part of Real Valladolid season, having helped the club stay afloat as they finished 16th in the just concluded La Liga season.
