American-born Nigerian Basketball player, Semi Ojeleye played a part in helping his team Boston Celtics, blow-out Brooklyn Nets 149-115 in their matchup on Wednesday.

Celtics who lost their last game to Miami Heat on Tuesday, needed a response from that defeat, and they came back roaring against Nets.

Ojeleye was in action for 17mins:52s and wasn’t going to miss out on the free-scoring day for Celtics, with the Nigerian dropping 9pts and 3rebs in his team’s one-sided victory.

All the points Ojeleye made came from outside shots, attempting five 3pts shot while on the court, and he converted three of those shots and racking up 9pts. Celtics were in fine form against the Nets, having as much as six players who made double figures.

With the win, Celtics are in 3rd place in the Eastern division, above Heat who are in 4th, and both teams are firmly in a position to make the playoffs.

Athletics coverage was a discovery, having to move away from regularly writing about Football. Although it was initially daunting, but now being an authority in it makes the past effort worthwhile. From travelling on the same international flight with Nigerian athletes, to knowing you could easily interview: World Record holder Tobi Amusan, then Ese Brume, I have cut my teeth in this beat earning the trust of Athletics sources.
