D’Tigers Power forward Chimezie Metu was an unused substitute on Friday, and Did Not Play (DNP -Coach’s decision) for San Antonio Spurs in their victory against Utah Jazz.

Having lost their last two matches to Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets respectively, Spurs got back to winning ways beating Jazz by 119-111 to record three wins out of five games played so far since the NBA restarted.

In the five games that Spurs have played in Orlando since the NBA teams went into the bubble, Metu has not got off the bench for Spurs yet, and will have to be patient to wait for his time to come.

Meanwhile, DR Congo’s Emmanuel Mudiay made 14pts for his Utah Jazz and then contributed 5ast for his team, but Spurs were the much better side as they claimed the win.

Senegal’s Georges Niang was the other African player who was in action for Jazz, making 7pts, 8rebs and 2ast in the game.

Athletics coverage was a discovery, having to move away from regularly writing about Football. Although it was initially daunting, but now being an authority in it makes the past effort worthwhile. From travelling on the same international flight with Nigerian athletes, to knowing you could easily interview: World Record holder Tobi Amusan, then Ese Brume, I have cut my teeth in this beat earning the trust of Athletics sources.
