Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce powered to a Season’s Best (SB) and World Lead (WL) of 10.87s (+1.4m/s) in the 2nd section of the women’s 100m at the Velocity Fest Meet IV in Kingston, Jamaica, taking a firm win over Shashalee Forbes who ran a Season’s Best (SB) of 11.20s.

Few minutes after her brilliant performance, double Olympic Champion, Elaine Thompson-Herah herself also clocked an SB of 10.88s, the 2nd fastest time in the world to win the 3rd section ahead of Natasha Morrison who ran an SB of 11.20s and Anthonique Strachan in 11.46s.

Tyquendo Tracey topped the 4th section of the men’s event in a Season’s Best of 10.20s (+0.1m/s), just edging an equally impressive Romario Williams who ran 10.21s (PB) and Nigel Ellis in 10.31s while in the 5th section, Nesta Carter also took the win in a 10.20s (+0.1) from Oshane Bailey who ran 10.24s.

Meanwhile, the women’s 400m was taken by Janieve Russell in 51.74s, just edging out Shericka Jackson who clocked 51.76s. From another heat, Stephenie Ann-McPherson ran 52.20s for 3rd place overall, with Ronda Whyte following in 52.84s.
Rusheen McDonald won the men’s event in 46.49s from Akani Slater in 46.60s.
