In the men’s 200m at the Star Athletics Sprint Series, Kenny Bednarek produced a stunning performance as he streaked to a huge Personal Best (PB) and World Lead (WL) of 19.80s (+1.0m/s), well clear of World Silver medallist, Andre De Grasse who ran 20.31s and Kyree King in 20.54s.
The 2nd section was taken by Aaron Brown in a Season’s Best of 20.24s (+1.2m/s) ahead of Panamanian, Alonso Edward who finished 2nd in 20.45s,
In his second 200m race of the season, Divine Oduduru finished 3rd, running 20.62s in Brown’s heat to place 6th overall.
Few minutes after Sha’Carri Richardson won the women’s 100m, she returned back to the track, storming to a big PB of 22.00s (+1.3m/s) in the women’s 200m, the 2nd fastest time in the world ahead of 400m specialist, Shakima Wimbley who clocked 22.88s, and Kortnei Johnson in 23.01s (SB).
