Morocco’s duo of Beno and Youssef En Nesyri were on the winning side in the Europa League final as their team, Sevilla, beat Nigeria’s Victor Moses’ Inter Milan 3-2 to clinch the trophy for the sixth time, with Luuk de Jong scoring twice.

Bono, the dependable Moroccan goalkeeper who came to the rescue of the Los Nervionenses in the semis against Manchester United in the semis, was also in fine form in the final as he held sway for the Spanish side despite conceding two goals.

His compatriot Youssef En-Nesyri, who has been largely inconsistent since his move from Leganes in January, came in for two-goal hero De Jong in the 86th minute, as he played out the remainder of the game.

This intense match saw the pendulum swing back and forth, with Romelu Lukaku giving Inter the lead after just five minutes. Diego Carlos conceded his third penalty kick in his third match, felling Lukaku to give the Belgian the chance to convert from the spot.

Brazillian, Diego Carlos was the match-winner for Sevilla as his overhead kick was diverted into the net by the outstretched leg of the unfortunate Lukaku.

Meanwhile, Moses came on for Danilo D’Ambrosio in the 78th minute, hoping to salvage something for Sevilla, but his efforts weren’t enough for the Andalucian club.
