Cameroonian forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting couldn’t salvage a win for first-time finalists Paris Saint Germain as the French Club lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League final in Lisbon.
Down by a lone goal and with 10 minutes left on the clock, PSG’s coach Thomas Tuchel brought in Choupo-Moting for Angel Di Maria. The former Stoke City attacker was looking to salvage a draw and potentially, a win for his team like he did in the Quarterfinal against Atalanta.
However, Choupo-Moting drew blanks, with his only contribution coming in the 87th min when the attempted shot was ousted by the Bayern defense.
French forward and former PSG winger Kingsley Coman was the decider on the night as his 59th minute header was just about enough to seal the win for Bayern Munich.
Elsewhere, Senegal midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye was on the bench throughout the duration of the match.
