The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up two places in the latest FIFA World Rankings, despite not playing any international match since November 2019.
The three-time African Champion amassed 1493 points to climb up to 29th from their previous spot of 31st from the last time the rankings were released.
Also, the move means that the Eagles are now third in Africa behind the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations runner-up, Senegal, who garnered 1555 points and Tunisia [1506] while Algeria and Morocco are placed fourth and fifth respectively.
The Super Eagles’ next match will come up in October will trade tackles against Ivory Coast before they take on Tunisia on the 8th and 10th respectively.
After that, they will take on Sierra Leone in an AFCON qualifying game on the 9th of November, a match that was postponed in March because of the outbreak of the coronavirus.
