Team Nigeria’s continued its quest to win medals at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics on Day 13 of action with three athletes competing in two sports.

After seeing her compatriot wrestle to Silver the day before, 2014 Commonwealth GOLD medalist, Odunayo Adekuoroye succumbed to Anastasia Nichita of Moldova in her Round of 16 clash, losing by fall by a pin, despite haven controlled the bout as she led 8-2.

In his first bout of the Men’s freestyle 86kg quarter-finals, Nigeria’s only male wrestler in Tokyo, Ekerekeme Agiomor lost by superiority 1-12 to Deepak Punia of India.

Finally, in canoeing, Ayomide Bello finished third in Heat 3 of the Women’s Canoe Single 200m, slightly missing out on an automatic semi-finals spot.
