Representing Auburn University, Favour Ashe and Kanyinsola Ajayi were part of their school’s 4x100m quartet as they stormed to victory in a blazing time of 38.64s at the Tom Jones Memorial in Florida.
In the same race, Godson Brume anchored for Team LSU as they settled for 2nd place in 38.93s.
Brume recorded a new (Season’s Best SB) in the men’s 100m final, racing to 10.16s to finish 3rd in section 1. South Africa’s Shaun Maswanganyi won in an iimpressive 10.12s, while Saminu Abdul-Rasheed came 2nd in 10.13s.
Ashe registered a DNS, whereas teammate Ajayi posted 10.39s in section 3 to place 3rd and overall 13th.
