Favour Ofili triumphantly blazed to a striking time of 11.06s to grab her maiden women’s 100m title on Day 1 of the Nigerian Olympic Trials in Benin, which automatically qualified her for the Paris Olympics over the event.

The National 200m Record Holder qualified fastest overall to the finals after clocking a then Season’s Best (SB) of 11.16s in the semifinals and was the athlete to watch out for in the final, and she delivered.

Olayinka Olajide came through in 2nd place with a time of 11.37s while Justina Eyakpobeyan was 3rd in 11.47s

Ofili now joins Tima Godbless as the second Nigerian female sprinter to qualify in both the 100m and 200m for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
