Alex Chukwukelu made a statement in his first ever outing at the National Championships, emerging victorious in the men’s 110m hurdles on Day 2 of the Nigerian Olympic Trials in Benin.

The Freshman from the University of Kentucky who is competing on home soil for the first time ever since his last visit in 2010, took the win in 13.92s.

African Games finalist, Wisdom Musa took 2nd position with a time of 14.44s.

The 19-year-old would be looking forward to representing Team Nigeria for the first time at the African Championships.
