Competing in his second Olympic Games for Nigeria, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi qualified for the final of the men’s Shot Put with a best effort of 21.13m in Paris.

Although automatic qualification mark was set at 21.35m, Enekwechi, who has been having the vest season of his career in 2024, secured his spot with his initial throw and then backed it up in the second round with 21.00m.

Despite fouling in the third round, his performance was sufficient to advance him to Saturday night’s final, placing him fifth overall in qualification group B.
