National Record Holder, Temitope Adeshina missed out on making the women’s High Jump final after finishing 19th in the overall standings with a height of 1.88m.

The Nigerian opened her competition at 1.83m, which she sailed through easily. On her next height at 1.88m, she failed on her first attempt but got the job done on her second attempt. At 1.92m, she missed all her attempts putting her Olympic debut to an end.

Adeshina is the second Nigerian ever to compete in the high jump at the Olympics after Doreen Amata who competed at the 2008 and 2016 Olympics.
