The American team won 88-74 at the Bercy Arena in Paris on Wednesday, but Nigeria’s performance was nothing short of remarkable.
D’Tigress showcased incredible resilience throughout the game, initially holding a competitive edge by finishing the first quarter at 26-17. Although the US extended their lead to 52-33 by halftime, Nigeria fought tirelessly, demonstrating their strength and tenacity against a formidable opponent by outclassing them in the 4th quarter with 26-12.
Ezinne Kalu was a standout performer, leading Nigeria with exceptional skill and leadership. Captain Amy Okonkwo, along with teammates Promise Amukamara and Musa Marjanatu, also made significant contributions.
