Olympic debutants, Ezekiel Nathaniel, Udodi Onwuzurike, and Ella Onojuvwevwo made significant strides in their respective events but eventually got eliminated in the semifinals at the Paris Olympics.

Nathaniel demonstrated impressive progress in the men’s 400m hurdles heats, getting the automatic qualifying spot but finished 5th with a time of 48.65s in the semifinals.

Onwuzurike and Onojuvwevwo went through the repechage round before progressing to the semifinals after falling short in their heats.

In the men’s 200m semifinals, Onwuzurike placed 7th with a time of 20.72s while Onojuvwevwo secured 6th place with a time of 51.05s in the women’s 400m semifinals.
