Justina Tiana Eyakpobeyan competed in the women’s 100m final at the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, finishing 7th in a time of 11.63s.

Seeded in lane two, Eyakpobeyan was the only Nigerian, male or female, to make the 100m final in the Peruvian capital.

Jamaica’s Alana Reid emerged the new World U20 Champion, showing why she was a clear favourite coming into the championships.

She came out on top in 11.17s, ahead of Adaejah Hodge who was 2nd in 11.27s and Kishawna Niles in 3rd with 11.37s for a Caribbean sweep.
