On the sixth day of the ongoing Paralympics in Paris, Team Nigeria competed in Para-Table Tennis, although the results weren’t favourable.

Kayode Alabi faced a tough match in the
Men’s Singles Class 6 against Thailand’s Rungroj Thainiyom. Despite his best efforts, Alabi was defeated in straight sets, 3-0 (7-11, 1-11, 6-11), ending his journey at the Games.

The challenges continued for Nigeria as two more athletes faced defeats in the Round of 16. In the Men’s Singles Class 9, Wali Abiola Adesope went up against France’s Lucas Didier but couldn’t overcome his opponent, losing 3-0 (11-9, 11-4, 11-6).

In the Women’s Singles Class 5, Christiana Alabi put up a strong fight, especially in the last two sets, but ultimately lost to her Chilean opponent Tamara Leonelli 3-1 (11-8, 11-5, 10-12, 12-10).
