Just one Team Nigeria athlete was in action on Day 3 of the ongoing Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and yes he did not disappoint his teeming fans stoutly rooting for him.

Aruna Quadri continued his heroics and ‘giant-slaying’, beating Germany’s Timo Boll to qualify for the quarter-finals of the men’s Table Tennis Singles. He set an African Record in the process, hopefully his good run will continue today when he faces China’s Ma Long.

Nigeria will compete in three events on Day 4. Here is a comprehensive preview of what to expect from Nigeria’s representatives today.

Athletics coverage was a discovery, having to move away from regularly writing about Football. Although it was initially daunting, but now being an authority in it makes the past effort worthwhile. From travelling on the same international flight with Nigerian athletes, to knowing you could easily interview: World Record holder Tobi Amusan, then Ese Brume, I have cut my teeth in this beat earning the trust of Athletics sources. Formerly the Content Manager-Sports at Ringier media Nigeria, Chris is a Senior Sports writer, Photographer & Community manager at Making of Champions.
