With Meeting Records (MR) falling like dominoes at the Birmingham leg of the IAAF Diamond League, it was Team Tobi Amusan who came out tops in the Fantasy Diamond Race Contest of the “MoC League 2018”.

Although players had an inveterate manner of picking an athlete in their teams prior to the meets, it was totally different in Birmingham as most of the top athletes had already qualified for the finals in Zurich and Brussels, thereby opting out of the Birmingham leg.

Topping those list of athletes are the duo of Sofiane El Bakkali and Shamier Little, all whom were late pull-outs from the starting list, costing some players valuable points, with some even selecting them as their captains.

Nevertheless, Team Tobi Amusan was able to discern well as he stuck to his guns, selecting Shaunae Miller-Uibo ahead of Dina Asher-Smith and Marie Jose Ta Lou in the women’s 200m. The move paid off tremendously, as the Bahamian raked in a massing 60 points for the players after she set an MR of 22.15 to claim victory. The player amassed a total of 167 points.

Team Top Sprinters came back to reckoning, but could only manage a second place as he finished 10 points behind the winner, while Chris Livirizzi’s team came third with the same 157 points.
