For a Diamond League (DL) meet that had few Meeting Records (MR) on the night, it was Team Blaise (Blaise Nwokedike) who emerged victorious in the Fantasy Race Contest of the “MoC 2019 League” in Oslo DL.
Although the last two Race Contest (Rome and Stockholm) was evenly poised with some of the winners being decided by the countback rule, it wasn’t even close in Oslo, as Team Blaise garnered 165 points to claim his first win in the MoC League this season.
He was one of the few players to have taken a chance on Norwegian hurdler, Karsten Warholm. The 400m Hurdles world champion repaid his faith in him by claiming victory in an Area Record (AR) and MR of 47.33.
Alex Atunye’s Team came in second place on the standings after churning in 160 points, while MoC’s Uchenna Ngene, who is playing for the first time this season, finished third with 155 points.
