Giving the nature of the London Diamond League (DL) which remains the only meet on the DL circuit to last for two days, it provided some nail-biting moments for players of the Fantasy Race Contest in the MoC 2019 League as they had to wait anxiously for their results after some of the top athletes had either withdrawn from the meet due to injury or were a no-show.

Athletes like Nigel Amos & Salwa Eid Naser who have been dominant on the Diamond League circuit this season were a shoe-in by most players to triumph in their respective disciplines, however, they both failed to rack up any points.

By and large, it was WeRun’s team owned by Jacob Ikponmwosa who took a punt on the likes of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Akani Simbine to win their disciplines, with the move paying off as they both claimed victory. He also selected three other winners in his team.

In total, the player notched up 152 points to top the standings in London. Making of Champions’ Junior Sport Writer, Oluwadare Popoola placed 2nd in the contest with 147 points, while Christopher Madome’s team also churned in 147 points in the race, but gets third spot having finished behind Popoola’s team in Monaco.

Overall, Nnaji Micah’s team still retained his top spot as the leader in our overall standings with 1586 points, as Dennis Ogbonna’s team is still breathing down his neck 14 points behind.
