Reigning World Champion, Daniel Stahl with his only legal throw, set a Meeting Record (MR) of 69.23m to win the men’s Discus at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, ahead of former World Champion, Andrius Gudzius who got out to 66.39m and Kristjan Ceh with 66.07m.
Robert Urbanek followed with 63.61m, while Simon Pettersson threw 63.13m.
Lamont Marcell Jacobs clocked a time of 10.11s (+1.3m/s) to win the men’s 100m, beating CJ Ujah who ran a Season’s Best (SB) of 10.17s and Dutchman Joris van Gool in 10.28s.
In the men’s 110m Hurdles, Britain’s Andy Pozzi clocked a World Lead (WL) of 13.17s (+1.1), improving the mark previously held by him ahead of French Wilhem Belocian who ran an SB of 13.38s. David King followed in 13.57s, edging South Africa’s Antonio Alkana who finished in 13.58s (SB).
The women’s 100m Hurdles saw Nadine Visser race to a big SB, MR and WL of 12.68s (+1.2) ahead of World University Games Champion, Luminosa Bogliolo who clocked an SB of 12.79s, and Luca Kozak in a Personal Best (PB) of 12.83s, just edging Annimari Korte who recorded the same time.
Nikoleta Kyriakopoulou topped the women’s Pole Vault as she cleared 4.63m, edging Holly Bradshaw on countback, while Eleni Klaoudia-Polak followed with 4.53m.
In the women’s Long Jump, Briton Jazmin Sawyers reached 6.54m (+1.4m/s) for the win over her compatriot, Abigail Irozuru who got out to 6.52m (+0.5) and Maria Huntington with 6.50m.
