Competing at the Oklahoma Throws Series in Ramona, Chioma Onyekwere went out to a massive Personal Best (PB) of 64.96m in the women’s Discus Throw at Oklahoma Throws Series, breaking the African Record in the process!
She broke what is now the previous record set in 2007 by Elizna Naudé by 9cm and bettered the World Championship qualification standard.
Her season shows she is on a good trajectory, having opened up about two weeks ago with 55.88m and then improving to 60.79m last weekend. Her previous PB also stood at 63.30m, meaning that she bettered that by over one and a half metres.
