World Record (WR) holder in the women’s 100m Hurdles Tobi Amusan raced in her third consecutive World Championships final on Day 6 of Budapest 2023, putting up a decent performance in a keenly contested race to finish 6th in a time of 12.62s.
The two-time Commonwealth Games Champion dominated her races in the heats and semis, clocking 12.48s and 12.56s respectively, and was the defending champion coming to Budapest, having stuck GOLD in Oregon last year whilst also setting a sizzling WR of 12.12s in the semis.
The final was won by 2015 Champion Danielle Williams in 12.43s, with Olympic Champion Jasmine Camacho-Quinn following in 12.44s for Silver, and USA’s Keni Harrison taking the Bronze in 12.46s.
It remains to be seen if the two-time African Championships 100m Hurdles GOLD medallist will compete in the women’s 4x100m relays.
