Favour Ofili ran her fastest outdoor time in two years to qualify for the women’s 200m semifinals at the Paris Olympics as the second fastest overall, with a Seasons Best (SB) of 22.24s.

The Nigerian was seeded in the final heat in lane 2, competing alongside European Champion Dina Asher-Smith and African Champion Gina Bass. Ofili started strong and cruised to victory in 22.24s, despite easing up in the last few meters.

Asher-Smith finished a close second in 22.28s while Bass came third in 22.84s.
