Oluwatobiloba Amusan followed up her impressive performance last week at her school’s Springtime Invitational, with yet another win on Friday at the ongoing Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in the United States.
Running the 4th fastest time in the world last week, this time around she ran the fastest time in all eight heats in the 100m Hurdles, winning with a time of 13.27s to qualify for the final coming up later on Saturday.
Amusan’s potential has come to the fore lately, and she has been running good times to inspire hopes of Nigeria producing the next Glory Alozie that could light up the women’s 100m Hurdles.
Also at the same meet, her compatriot, Mobolaji Adeosun made the next round, following Amusan with the second fastest time in all the heats, winning Heat 6 with a wind aided time of 13.30s (+2.3).
Both Amusan and Adeosun will compete in the final coming up later on Saturday, and they will be running alongside each other in Lanes 5 and 6 respectively.
