With less than a week to the first leg of CHAMPS for Season 3, the MTN CHAMPS Benin Athletics Classics set to hold in Edo State from March 13th to 15th, registration for the event roared to life as 2994 Event Entries have been received from 1407 Athletes across 78 Secondary Schools, just before today’s (March 7th) registration deadline. More entries are expected to flood in before the 12.00 midnight deadline.
The list of registered Athletes comprises of 231 Cadets, 615 Youth, 396 Juniors & 165 Seniors.

The MTN CHAMPS Benin Athletics Classics will hold simultaneously across two locations: the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium for the full 3 days (where the Seniors and Juniors will be throughout) and UNIBEN Sports Complex for 2.5 days (where the Youth and Cadets will be before they all move to Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium at 11am on the final day for the final session where all the trophies will be awarded).
Online registration continues for the MTN CHAMPS Lagos Continental Relays (April 9th to 12th) and the MTN CHAMPS Grand Final in Uyo (April 30th to May 3rd) at http://mtnchamps.com. The Parental Consent Form can be downloaded via the same link. It is compulsory for at least one parent or legal guardian of each participating athlete in the Cadet, Youth & Junior categories to sign the Parental Consent Form.
All Cadet (U-14), Youth (U-17) and Junior (U-20) Athletes are to come along with a photocopy of a means of identification showing their Date of Birth, such as their Birth Certificates, International Passport or School Records
The deadline for registration for the Lagos Continental Relays is April 2nd while that of the Grand Final in Uyo is April 23rd.
