Missouri Southern’s Joy Udo-Gabriel was unstoppable in the women’s 60m final at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships on Saturday, March 15th, blazing to a new Personal Best (PB) and NCAA DII Record of 7.11s to win the title. This performance breaks her own DII Record, which she set only two weeks ago.
In addition to winning the title, she also broke the Missouri Southern School Record for the sixth time this year, ranking her joint 10th in Nigerian history in the women’s 60m event. Her time also ranks 2nd by a Nigerian woman this season, behind Tima Godbless’ 7.08s.
Alexis Brown, the NCAA DII 100m Champion, finished in 2nd place with a time of 7.28s.
