Ezekiel Nathaniel won his first individual NCAA indoor medal, claiming Silver in the men’s 400m final with a time of 45.44s on Saturday, March 15th, in Virginia. Will Floyd was the surprise winner, taking the title in 45.43s.

The Baylor Senior was the heavy favourite to win the event after leading the prelims and also posting the NCAA Leading time and an African Record of 44.74s in the build up to the competition, ranking him 7th on the all-time list.

The Nigerian will be hoping to continue his fine form at the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China, this weekend.
